Epilogue
I smiled slightly and tilted my head to give him room on my other shoulder.
"What are you thinking?" he asked.
I took a deep breath. "I thought about Lily and Andrei," I confessed.
Even though I was ecstatic that Auntie Anne was now behind bars and I knew she wouldn't be able to harm us anymore, I couldn't help but wonder about what would happen to the siblings.
I wondered if they would seek revenge, if I should feel secure and live my life peacefully, or if I should pity them because I had taken their mother away from them.
"They are both grown-ups," he said.
I shook my head. "Not really. Lily is still in her early twenties, and Andrei is still a teenager. They can't stand on their own yet—"
"Lily is more mature than ever. I know she can handle herself and her brother."
