Chapter 302. The End

"There you finally are, Luana." It sounded like I was late, but I was three minutes early. I had hurried to make sure I didn't arrive after noon. I was aware of how much my mum hated being late.

She came from the back of the house and pointed behind her. "Your father is already waiting for us in the dining room. Today we have your favorite dish." She was already turning around, already leading the way, and I hurried after her.

If there was my favorite food, then that became worrying. Either something had happened or something was about to happen that I wouldn't like. There was a background there. My mum was more of a calculating kind of person, anyone would be skeptical of this action.
