Chapter 214

Valeria's POV

I cried out in pain and writhed again and again, hoping movement would ease my pain. However, I could hardly move anymore. It was as if someone had tied me tightly. Neither my arms nor my legs could be moved extensively. I tried to open my eyes to see who was holding me. But to my astonishment, I discovered that I was chained to the bed. Alec stood in the room and looked at me now and then. The fear was written on his face.

In the beginning, I managed to count how many bones I had. But because of the pain, I had to stop counting at 67. I would lose consciousness now and then and my she-wolf would take control. I didn't even know how long I had been lying here. All I knew was that I was getting weaker and losing more and more control. I couldn't concentrate on anything except the terrible pain.

I lost consciousness again trying to scream out the pain, but this time something was different. I was not, as usual, pushed back into the dark
