"I really considered studying law," Kimi said when the topic of conversation was which course she would like to pursue. "But I think I don't want to anymore."
"Why not?"
"I don't know, but I feel like it's not what I really want."
"But do you have any other course in mind?"
"No," she replied thoughtfully. "That sometimes makes me anxious. I always feel like I need to choose soon, or I'll be a hindrance to my mother."
"That's nonsense," Lucy replied, stopping next to her at a pedestrian crossing while they waited for the signal to go. "You don't need to decide anything now. You still have plenty of time."
