Chapter 16

Forty minutes.

That's how long Lucy spent in the bathroom.

Ryeon was lying on the mattress, he had already gotten up, pressed his ear against the bathroom door to see if there was any sign of life there, and left the second he heard Lucy's soft voice humming.

Ryeon looked at himself in the mirror, taking advantage of the solitude.

Should he put on underwear?

Did Lucy want to see him lying naked?

Ryeon took the time to ponder the possibilities of how Lucy might appreciate him, but he jumped back onto the bed, all awkward, when the bathroom door was unlocked, and even before Lucy appeared, her sweet scent filled the entire room.

Ryeon stayed lying down, naked, and gasped when he saw her in the dim light that entered through the closed window, but without curtains, in her room.

Lucy seemed like an angel to the smitten young man.

Her shy smile was back. Ryeon watched her approach, and without losing her shyness, he lay back
