The months following that decision were painful, but as soon as Mark's first day off arrived, Jaesun became excited and attempted to surprise his beloved, shooing Kimi and Lucy over to Yugjae's apartment.

"I think it's unfair that we have to come here. We pay rent too," Kimi complained, lounging on Yugjae's spacious sofa.

"You were going to a date with that singer, weren't you?" Yugjae appeared with a bowl of chocolate balls and sat between the two, chuckling at Kimi's enthusiasm as she grabbed a handful of them. "You little wolf!"

"I was," Kimi replied with her mouth full. "But I'm still not ready, so I told him it wouldn't work."

"After three months, are you still thinking about Jerry?"

"It's not like what we had was meaningless. I still love him."

Yugjae nodded, guiding the bowl towards Lucy.

"And you? Any news?"
