It took about fifteen minutes until he was back in the building where he now lived. He took the elevator, fully aware that he wouldn't be crazy enough to tackle the stairs after a tiring workday. He smiled, entering the apartment and finding his girl all wrapped up and huddled on the couch.

Lucy was watching something on TV, but she turned her gaze to him, smiling in surprise.

"Already?" she glanced at the time on her phone screen. "I thought you'd come back later."

"Yeah, me too, but I ended up needing to go out to buy cat food, and now I'm here."

"Cat?"

"Long story. Brought you some cake." he raised the box, seeing her rush to pause what she was watching and sit up properly on the couch. Ryeon sat down next to his fiancée, handing her the box and feeling the enthusiastic kiss she planted on him.
