"Jen!" Min-Ha wasn't subtle in her reception when she saw her old college friend. She hugged the woman and made her laugh loudly, leaving Lucy huddled in the corner, waiting her turn to greet her. "You look gorgeous!"

"Oh..." the woman waved her hands and clicked her tongue. "I'm covered in dark circles and tired. Can you believe my staff is getting slower by the day?"

"I can imagine. But look, I brought the girl."

Jen arched her eyebrows, scanning Lucy from head to toe. She smiled, approaching Lucy and offering her hand for a delicate greeting.

Lucy shook it with the tips of her fingers, making a slight bow in respect. "I'm Jeon Lucy, Mrs. Jen. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Lucy sounded graceful, firm, and determined. But inside, she felt like a jelly, praying that her legs wouldn't tremble and send her crashing to the ground in sheer terror.
