"And then?" Jaesun rushed over, followed by Kimi. Lucy looked at him and couldn't hold back a tear that rolled down her cheek. Kimi hurried to wipe it away.

"I couldn't do it," Lucy said, looking at both of them.

Kimi felt her heart tighten and hugged Lucy tightly, resting her head on her friend's shoulder. Jaesun still looked at her at eye level, feeling his core scream, he was angry. But even so, he hugged his friend, supporting her and whispering that they would figure it out.

Ha Jiwon appeared in the room but waited for the friends to embrace and only then called Kim Jaesun's family. Jungso still felt awkward, unsure how to act or speak, but he didn't want to see his daughter sad, so he picked up her bags and forced a smile.
