Chapter 28
Lucy stood upright, smiling at her reflection in the bathroom mirror as she combed her hair. She had just taken a shower and even washed her hair by herself. Her recovery was going well, and she no longer felt any pain, even though everyone was still treating her with utmost care.
The bathroom lights were blue at that moment, and "my oasis" played softly on the internal sound system. That song reminded Lucy of the school prom. Even though the night had ended tragically, it had been mostly good.
Lucy remembered the moment when Ryeon had invited her to escape the ballroom and go up to the school rooftop. She recalled the feeling of the cold wind against her body, seeing the sea and the lighthouse, and, most of all, feeling Ryeon hands on her waist as they danced to that song.
