Chapter 36
It was past eight in the evening, and Lucy looked out of the taxi's window at the Busan landscape. She carried a small bag with her tablet containing drawings and her excitement grew as she spotted Yala's house approaching.
Yala wasn't at the shop; she had invited Lucy over to her house for the first time. It wasn't far from where the shop was located, but Lucy was surprised when the taxi stopped in front of a pastel pink house with a well-organized and illuminated garden, and an old-fashioned white convertible parked outside.
She paid for the ride and smiled as she saw Yala opening the door and spreading her arms, delighted to have her guest at her house.
"My darling." Lucy felt good being hugged by the older woman. "How beautiful you look!"
"You look beautiful too, Mrs. Yala. What a cool car!"
"Do you like it? It's my father's Mustang, a 1969 convertible, can you believe it?"
