I’m heading back to the packhouse to take a shower, Nate had been bugging me all morning to let him run. We headed for the forest and I let him take full control. It could be the last run we take here, and while I won’t miss this place or people, I will miss the forest and that beautiful lake, and so will Nate.

This week has been unbelievably stressful but I’m confident it will all work out. We’ve been through the plan with a fine-tooth comb more than once. I’m not saying it’s going to be easy, but it’s worth anything that comes our way. There’s only one thing that could cause some bother and that’s the fact that neither Savannah nor Theo knows about the fact that Jack wants him dead and her for himself.

We honestly didn’t know if Theo could handle that right now without shutting down and if we told Savannah she wouldn’t be able to keep that from her mate, so we agreed to keep it a secret until we get to the Blue Lake Pack. We’ll tell them once we are t
