Chapter 29

Thorn couldn't help staring at his wife as she slept peacefully on their bed. It was his first time seeing his wife cry while telling him about herself this afternoon. Thorn could tell that his wife was hurt and in pain, and seeing her like that angered him. He was spoiling her and treating her like a Queen, but those people, whom she called family, were carelessly hurting her.

At that moment, it was a good thing that Cinnamon resigned. Because of this knowledge, even he would ask her to stay as far away as possible from those people.

Sighing, Thorn remembered his conversation with Cinnamon earlier this afternoon in his office after introducing her to his employees in his restaurant.

They were both sitting on the long sofa when Cassia told Thorn about herself.

"I'm adopted." cassia started while looking down at her lap, "my adopted parents couldn't reproduce, so they took me from the orphanage and adopted me. I was four years old
