Chapter 21. Video Call

Sunny’s POV

“Sunny, where have you been? Henry has been looking for you.” Said Mira as soon as I stepped inside our house. 

“I’m sorry, I forgot to tell you that Damon’s mother celebrated her birthday with us today too.”

Her eyes widened, “Oh really? God, I didn’t know that. Oh, alright then, why didn’t you give your gift to Henry?”

“H-Huh?”

“Your gift, you knitted gloves for him, right?”

“I will just go to my room,” I said as I walked past her. I even heard her call my name, but I just pretended that I didn’t hear her. 

When I was finally inside my room, I locked my door to make sure that Mira wouldn’t be able to sneak inside again, and then I crawled up on my bed. What happened on Henry’s birthday and a while ago was still clear to me. He really loved my sister, and Mira loved him so much too. What could I even do with that?
