Chapter 111. Pregnant?

Nina POV

I don’t know how long I slept but I woke up feeling disoriented. I took a minute to piece together again what had happened and where I was. On my left, a computer was monitoring my heart rate, blood pressure and oxygen saturation. And on my finger was a pulse oximeter clipped on.

There was an IV in my right arm and half a bag of saline was dripping slowly into the line to my veins. The light was dimmed, I managed to stretch my head and that’s when I saw Lizzy sleeping on the stool in front of me. Her hand supported her head as she slept.

From the reflection of the sun seeping inside through the window and the chirping of the birds, I could tell that it was still early in the morning.

I closed my eyes, hoping to remember anything. How did I land my ass in the hospital? And slowly, the pieces started joining together. Hungry, I left to the garden then climbed the tree and then fell off but caught on time by R...my eyes flipped open immediately,
