Chapter 80. Go Straight to the Point

Nina POV

“I need to see the king,” I said to the guard standing in front of King Xandros office. He eyed me up and went inside.

I stood there and not for up to three minutes, he came out again. His expression was stoic, he stepped aside and held the door open for me to go inside.

I guess he just announced my presence to him for approval before letting me in.

I smiled and gave him a small thank-you nod before walking in.

I flinched at the forced closing of the door, I then spun around to find King Xandros’ eyes fixed on me.

I gulped hard and stepped further into the room.

His eyes followed my every step.

“Good day, my king,” I gave him a small bow but yet, his face remained frowned.
