Chapter 39

Cassa looked around Debbie’s house and noticed that it had changed a lot since the last time she was there. She sat in the front yard of Debbie’s house because her sister hadn’t returned yet. There was no one else in the house except for Debbie.

Cassa checked the circular clock on her right hand and saw that it was already 6 o’clock in the evening. She tried to be patient and wait for her sister, but after 30 minutes, there was still no sign of Debbie while Cassa didn’t have Debbie’s phone number.

“Where could Debbie be? It’s already nighttime and she still hasn’t come home. I also don’t have her phone number. What should I do?” Cassa wondered, looking at Lukas who was still sleeping in her lap.

Instead of waiting, Cassa finally decided to go home, even though it meant a 3-hour journey.

But as Cassa was about to leave, a car stopped in front of Debbie’s house. Cassa looked at the car closely and it was exactly as she suspected – Debbie had just arrived.
