Cassa held Lukas’ hand tightly, causing Debbie to focus on Cassa’s unusual grip on Lukas as if she intended to take the child away. Debbie smiled at the closeness between the child and his mother in front of her. Debbie’s calm face did not show that she desired Lukas.

“Cassa, it seems like you’re holding Lukas too tight. Isn’t that a problem? Lukas must be in pain because you’re holding him too firmly,” Debbie warned Cassa not to hold Lukas too tightly.

This morning, after hearing the conversation between Debbie and the person she called, Cassa became very wary of the people around her.
