“Celiza? Who is that?” I turned to Mom who was outside the door. Dad peeked in as well. It turned out to be home.

I turned to Magnus.

“Let’s go,” I said, then grabbed his wrist.

We walked towards Mom and Dad.

“My friend Mom, Dad, is Magnus,” I said smiling. They did not speak.

I saw the beginning of Magnus’s cheek. Even my parents were embarrassed.

“I was just delivered,” I said next. Then he pointed to Magnus’s car.

“Good evening,” Magnus said to my side. Hmm. It’s good he didn’t stutter.

Mom’s eyebrow raised and she scanned him from head to toe. His lips form a thin line.

“Why didn’t Toci bring you home?”

I sighed. Toci was really what Mom was looking for. That budget!
