Chapter 73
“Ouch!”
I immediately woke up due to the pain I felt in my hand.
I rubbed my eyes briefly and was greeted by a circular symbol with a star inside, drawn using salt. There were also candles placed around it, serving as the only source of light in the area.
I had no idea where we were now, but it seemed like we were in our backyard.
As I surveyed the area, I once again felt the pain in my hand as Lianna squeezed it, causing a cut to form. Slowly, my blood dripped onto the floor, and Lianna kept repeating words I couldn’t understand.
“Diávole, se kaló… diávole, se kaló…”
I had no clue what language that was, but I strongly felt that she was trying to communicate with a demon. The symbol she had drawn resembled ones I had seen in horror films, and besides that, “diávole” sounded similar to “diablo,” which meant devil.
“What are you doing?!” I yelled at her, but she paid me no attention and continued repeating the same words.
