Epilogue (2)
Raven’s POV
I woke up feeling as if I had gotten a full night’s sleep. It was a refreshing sensation, something I hadn’t experienced in days. I had been sleep-deprived from constantly thinking about Leslie’s situation and juggling academic concerns.
The room was slowly brightening as the sun began to rise, its gentle light seeping through the windows in Leslie’s room. I glanced to my right, where I expected to see Leslie. She was still asleep, in the same position as last night, and I assumed she hadn’t woken up yet.
While I’m not particularly religious, I found myself silently praying as I watched over Leslie, hoping that when she woke up, it would be Leslie herself, and that Lianna’s presence would finally be gone.
On my left side, Jessie was still deeply asleep, even snoring softly.
After my brief prayer, I got up and left the room to find Lance and Auntie Penny. I wanted to ask them if Leslie had awakened.
