“Please wait for me here, okay?” asked him, immediately running away from me without asking for my approval.

I was clicking my tongue in annoyance. I played Candy Crush on my phone with a super boring face.

“Why am I still playing games like this? And why am I still addicted to it?”

Not long after, Dominik returned with his car in front of me. I stopped the game I was playing earlier and put it back in my coat pocket. Then I got into the car and closed the car door.

“Let me help you put it on,” he said, offering to put on my seat belt, which I flatly refused.

He looked disappointed at my refusal and waited for me to fasten my seat belt without his help.

After I finished fastening my seat belt, he returned to his steering wheel as he directed his car away from the office.
