Chapter 20. Where Are You Taking Me?

VICTORIA

I didn’t know if I should turn or not, but either way I knew that voice all too well. It was Flynn, my boyfriend.

“Victoria, you’re pregnant?” Flynn looked like he couldn’t believe his ears. I don’t blame him though.

“I’m sorry,” I choked out in between sobs. I was a sobbing mess.

“You’re sorry? You slept with Matteo’s father and you’re saying sorry? How could you do that? You’re meant to look after and cater for the kid, not the father!” Flynn yelled at me, he looked disgusted with me. I could not look at his face for long, I looked to the ground.

“Watch your tone boy!” Alessandro thundered from where he stood tall and proud like a statue.

“I’m so sorry.” That was all I could say.

“You’re such a pretender and a liar Victoria! How could you?!”

“It was a mistake, I swear! It was never supposed to happen,” I desperately tried to explain.

“Damn right! It was not supposed to happen. He’s your boss and that’s unprofessional.
