Chapter 13. Impersonator

Kai's POV

"Hey, can I have a word?" I asked my brother Theo, as I stepped into his study. He sat at his desk, not appearing to be working on any particular task. His gaze stared into nothingness, unblinking.

"Yeah, of course," Theo replied as he blinked, bringing himself back to reality "What's up?"

I wandered over to the tall fridge in the corner of Theo's room. It wasn't a study in the traditional sense, his room was more like a guys hangout area. There was a desk in the centre, but no books or literature displayed. A large TV with a sofa and games system filled one corner, a retro arcade game and a giant fridge, which always seemed to be full of beer, filled another.

Theo's room was my favourite place to come in the house, aside from my personal space of course. Each brother had their own space, somewhere to go when we needed solitude.
