If my daughter wasn't here, in my arms, I would have unleashed my fury at Elsie by now. But I kept my anger caged inside me for now. Gracie was upset enough, I didn't want to hurt her further.

"Why are you so irresponsible?" I asked sternly, my eyes focused on the redhead who fumbled at the sleeves of her green top "You should be watching Gracie at all times,"

"I'm sorry!" Elsie said with an outburst "I became distracted, I turned my back for one minute,"

"One minute too long!" I yelled, but managed to reign my voice in as Gracie buried her face deeper into my chest "You need to have eyes on Gracie at all times,"

"It wasn't her fault," Oris spoke up as he stepped forward, pushing his glasses up his nose "Kai and I came in here and distracted her," he paused and his eyes shifted to Kai, probably looking for support.

"Yeah,"
