"Elsie?" Her bedroom door was open, but I thought it polite to knock before I stepped in.

 As I entered her room, I saw Elsie folding up her laundry and placing it neatly onto her bed. She seemed to have a system as she placed the clothes into various piles, but as I watched her eyes, it seemed there was thought behind them.

"Hey," I said, noticeably breaking her concentration as she stopped folding and shifted her gaze to me.

"Theo!" Elsie said, a smile formed on her lips and her eyes shimmered beneath the low light of her room "I was just thinking about you,"
