Chapter 108. A Deal

"Hi, mum." Caden greeted hugging his mother who placed a soft kiss on his cheek.

"Hey sweetheart, how's Gladys?" Selene Morrow asked.

"She's recovering pretty well... And the baby." He answered entering the living room of the duplex, a property that was owned by both his mother and father. While Alfred stood at the corner of the room, like a bodyguard.

"Baby?" Mrs. Morrow called confusingly as she let out a small chuckle. "Is it what I'm thinking?"

"Whatever it is, Gladys is expecting," Caden said in confirmation.

"Oh, my God." His mother gasps surprisingly. "Really?" She asked.

"Yeah,"

"That's good news, sweetheart. I need to visit her." She added happily, and Caden smiled a bit.

"Yeah you should, she would be pleased to see you. Her soon-to-be mother-in-law." He adds in teasingly.

"You should consider making that happen, she's carrying your baby." The woman advised grinning. "I'm happy for you son, who knew my I'm very-very-busy son w
