"Hello, Eli," Gladys called smilingly as she collected her baby from Cherry, and Elijah made some adorable babble at his mother which made her kiss his cheeks. "How was your day with Cherry?" She asked her son who started playing with her hair. "I hope he didn't give you a tough time?" She glances at Cherry who gives a warm smile.

"Not at all, in short, he's lively to be with. We had a nice time together." Cherry replied cheerfully.

Gladys looked relieved when she heard the good news, and she let out a sigh of gratitude. "Thank goodness he takes after me. His father isn't exactly known for his friendliness." As she said this, she shot a glance at Eli, who was watching her intently, almost as if he understood every word. His raised eyebrows seemed to express a mixture of amusement and frustration at her comment about his father's lack of friendliness.
