Chapter 75. Acceptance
"Hi, how are you doing?" Gladys asked, acting as though she wasn't uncomfortable at his sight.
Ever since she heard him confess his love to her, she had known that whenever she met him she would feel uncomfortable since her consciousness had been blaming her for ruining their relationship, when it was obvious she wasn't at fault.
Her mood seemed to have switched from angry to cool thanks to Jackson who was still looking like a boy that's afraid to confess that he stole a toy.
"Fine. And you?" He asked if his truck was not at the front of the house this time, and Gladys decided to use that as a new conversation since they might end up saying ' hi, hi all through the day.
"I'm good. What about your truck?" She asked like it was an important question, looking as though she was curious to hear him reply whereas she just wished to continue her walk to meet Caden and his mother.
