Chapter 9. Second Day at Work

The next morning was so bright, Gladys had to sit on the stool, staring at her reflection in the mirror.

She had woken up early in the morning and had prepared for the day. Dare we say the second day of her first job?

She wore a black gown with white sneakers and was busy packing her hair into a ponytail while she stare at the mirror.

She applied some makeup to her face as she stood up ready to go.

She took the white handbag her mother had bought for her when she clocked twenty as her eyes met with the gift box Jackson had given her on the desk.

She smiled at it as she carried it from the desk and opened it.

She picked out the small letter he must have written as she laughed at the words.

' Will be very useful for your punctuality.' she read out aloud.

She saw the tiny silver wristwatch inside the box as she stare surprisingly at it.

"Wow." She gasps silently as she picks up the attractive wristwatch and stares at it for a while.
