Chapter 26. Who Are These People?

Jennifer’s POV

I reached his place and got off the bike, I saw Bob standing in front of their house waiting for me.

“Are you okay?” He asked me worriedly. I nodded.

We went inside and saw Kleo and the boys were playing in the living room.

“Hi,” I said to them and went straight to the kitchen with Bob.

“Hey, do you wanna drink something?” He asked.

I shook my head, “No, I’m fine. I just need to breathe,” I said with a smile. He gestured for me to sit and turned around to grab me water from the bridge.

“Thanks. By the way, can I ask you something?” I started the conversation with him.

“Yup,” he said and he drank his water.

“Do you know those people? And if yes, please tell me honestly, how do you know them?” I asked.

He stopped drinking, he put his water bottle to the table and sat beside me.

“Do you really wanna know?” He asked.
