Chapter 34. Work

Jennifer’s POV

“Let’s go,” Bob said and got out of his car, and so did I. Once he got out and locked his car, he went towards me and walked up to the door. He went to the door first and grabbed his gun from his waist.

“Do you always carry your gun with you?” I asked but he didn’t answer. He was focusing on not getting jumped by someone.

He stopped and stood up straight. I followed him inside and when I went in my jaw dropped. The whole place was a mess. The couch was flipped over and also the dining table. The chairs were completely destroyed. The walls had holes marked from a gunshot.

“What the fuck is happening here?” I muttered.

“Be quiet, stay behind me, Jennifer,” He said and I nodded. He walked around the house and checked door by door. He was looking for people who mess with the house who might be still in here. I stayed behind him and looked around.

“Let’s go upstairs,” he whispered.
