Chapter 38. Let’s Skip

Jennifer’s POV

“Jen, you okay?” I heard Coach Mendez ask. I stood up again and picked up my water bottle. I nodded to her and painted my thumb up.

“Jen, you did very well today. That’s enough.” Coach Mendez said and I nodded. I saw her walk out of the facility and I started to walk out of the field.

“You did good,” Reyna said once I got out of the field.

“Thanks,” I said and smiled at her. I sat on the bench and took off my shoes.

Reyna had to leave early. She said she needed to get something for her next lesson. So, Bob and I were left alone.

“You did great,” he said while we both walked to the comfort room.

“Could be better,” I said with a smirk.

“You’ll get through it. Don’t worry,” he assured me and I chuckled.

“I thought you left,” I changed the topic and he looked up from his phone.

“No, I won’t leave you here alone,” he said and chuckled.

I was at my locker to get some of my stuff for my next lesson when
