Chapter 88. Stay Safe

Jennifer’s POV

I quickly put her down first and tried to keep her eyes open. I don’t know what to do so I freaked out at this point. So, I put her down next to the door and kick it as much as I can even though I wasn’t breathing in this fucking gas.

I started to kick the door as much as I could in my power even though my legs were hurting. But that didn’t go so well so I crouched back to Darlene to grab the gun she was holding and shot at the door knob.

Even though I didn’t dare to breathe in green gas, it was still messing in my head. I looked back at Darlene and saw that she was already lacking air. My eyes widened and I started to kick after I shot the door knob.

I heard a click.

Fuck! It worked.

I quickly pushed the door and saw it opened up. I looked back at Darlene and lifted her up. I started to breathe again because we were outside.

“Darlene! Don’t close your eyes, we made it!” I said. I pulled her into the room and looked for
