Chapter 9

Race and several kingdom knights fought against strange creatures that suddenly attacked the base camp. Even Winter joined in the fight against these creatures. After hours of resistance, the animals were defeated and disappeared independently. The situation at the base camp was utterly chaotic. The ground was full of holes, and scattered rubies and talismans were everywhere. Race sighed heavily and then groaned in frustration as he looked at the condition of the base camp.

"How could creatures like that appear? Who sent them to plunder here?" Race wondered to himself.

"Race!" Winter's call made Race turn and look towards Winter, who was now running towards him.

"Race, are you okay?" Winter asked, observing his cousin from head to toe.

"I'm fine, Winter. And you?" Race asked, also observing Winter from head to toe.

"I'm okay. I didn't fight many of them. You almost killed all the creatures by yourself," Winter said.
