The morning sun bathed the Silver Moon Pack in a warm, golden glow as Chassy made her preparations for the council meeting. It was a day she had been dreading, filled with hesitation and an unwillingness to attend. She knew what lay ahead—a gathering with alphas from neighboring regions, many of whom had made it abundantly clear that they held her in low regard.
Chassy was not one to shy away from her responsibilities as an alpha, but the prospect of enduring belittlement and disrespect was far from appealing. Still, the meeting was inevitable, and she couldn't allow her reluctance to deter her from fulfilling her duties.
