Chapter 3
Taking another deep breath, Miranda filled her lungs with fresh air as she walked up to the restaurant's entrance. In front of her, a waiter stood like a wall, his hands behind his back. She wasn't sure if this place was her scene, and she normally would never even think about dining in a place like this, but this was a special night for Miranda.
Mustering up a bit of courage, she lifted her chin, approaching the waiter with a wide back and a small, confident smile on her face. It's about damn time I try something different, she thought to herself. She nodded at the waiter, and, without another word, the waiter opened the door of the restaurant for her.
Her heels clicking against the pearly clean restaurant tiles, she approached the large desk in front of her. Behind the desk, a waitress stood there, a welcoming smile on her face.
