Maybe I wasn't able to keep the conversation in the same spontaneous way as I did on my cell phone. I immediately started to regret going on that date, because I was already ruining everything at the beginning of it. "I also hate leaving the house, Tas. But we can take a tour of the city, since you said you don't know many things around here, and I was forced to know every building, every house, every business, because of my work... So, then we can follow the plan to stay on a bench in the square feeding the pigeons, you know? Things that people my age do.”
I laughed out loud.
"You're not even that old, Flynn.”
"My soul is vintage, my dear," he said pompously, but threw me a dimpled smile. "Seriously, Tasha, I don't want this meeting to seem with hidden intentions to you. I want to meet you, and it doesn't look bad at all just sitting on a bench while we talk. Everything is fine with me, wherever you want to talk, I accept.”
