Marie’s POV
"Go home. Both of you."
Frank doesn't look away from Alvarez when he says it. Dean's jaw goes tight beside me.
"Dad—"
"Now, Dean."
Dean doesn't move for a second. I watch something war behind his eyes — the urge to plant his feet, to demand answers, to stand between his father and whatever this is — and then, slowly, he takes my hand instead and pulls me toward the car.
"That's not like him," Dean says once we're inside, engine running, staring back at the two men still standing under the streetlight.
We pull away. I catch one last look in the side mirror — Frank's shoulders set hard, Alvarez still talking, easy and unhurried — before the club disappears around the corner.
