“Hey, where’s your wolf?” one of the girls asked while we were entering the dining room.

I looked at her direction and replied, “He’s resting. He has been playing all day.”

“Aww! Such an adorable creature,” she and two others commented, finding it sweet.

But Cadell isn’t resting. He’s not back yet.

Derby who walked next to me with Trent in her hold, asked in a whisper, “Have you called your Mom to see if he’s on his way? It’s getting kind of late already.”

“No need for that. Cadell is not a kid. He’s older than all of us here.” I chuckled, taking my seat.

“He’ll be back. That’s how he flows.”

That’s how Cadell moves, after all. He loves the night.
