Chapter 10. Last Night with You

“If we enjoyed and longed for each other this much, why can’t it be just the two of us?”

Kendra’s POV

I wasn’t sure whether I was dreaming or awake, but when I kissed him goodnight, I clearly heard him say,

“I need you tonight, Kendra. Sleep with me, be mine…” his sultry manly voice said it all.

And surely it wasn’t a hallucination when I felt the voltage run from my hand to my whole body when he grabbed my hand tight.

I scoffed but didn’t—or couldn’t say anything. I thought it would be our last night together, tomorrow, we will get a divorce, and this would be the last time I get to feel his touch, so I guess there was nothing wrong with giving in for the very last time.

I swallowed not only my saliva but also my pride, I openly accepted his invitation. Once I gave him a silent nod, he pulled me and I ended up sitting on top of him, like a princess handled by his chivalry prince.
