Kendra’s POV

“Hey, wait up, Aunt Chen, be—” I wanted to warn her because I shouldn’t be running with my pregnant belly.

But a few meters away from Grandpa’s room, I heard his voice roaring like a lion. I was afraid something might have happened to him, so my feet went on their own.

I hurriedly opened the door unaware of what awaited me. I was shocked to see Grandpa swinging the wooden stick in mid-air. It led me to the bloodied man on the floor, and it was none other than my husband.

What bothered me the most was witnessing the motion Grandpa was planning to do. He was going to hit Johann and I saw rage on his face.

My eyes welled up when I realized how angry Grandpa was.

I know he was hurt, and I know he was disappointed, but not to that extent. And Johann was there, doing nothing, as if he was ready to accept any kind of punishment for the sake of our divorce.
