Chapter 10. Waterfall and Butterfly

Emma’s POV

“Hey, careful?” Parker quickly reached for my hand as he helped up through the rocky path. We were in the deep parts of the forest, and we kept venturing deep into it and despite my curiosity, I still let him lead me through the path without asking too many questions.

He had assured me that he had something to show me. “Are you okay?” He asked as he continued to hold my hand and I could feel the warmth of his palm against mine.

I swallowed deeply, trying to hide the turmoil of emotions inside of me. “Are we almost there?” I forced myself to ask.

“Yes, we’re very close,” he stated as he led me further and as we ventured deeper, I could hear falling waters. I darted my gaze around the place to see if there was a waterfall close by.

My eyes narrowed as I caught a sight of bodies of water and Parker led me through another path that revealed a breathtaking waterfall, set in the heart of the forest.
