Chapter 22. Anger or Jealousy?
Parker’s POV
“Fuck!” I growled again, pouching the wall this time as I tried to contain my anger.
My eyes widened in a mix of shock and pain as Emma walked into the room with only a towel wrapped around her chest and water dripping down her body.
Her hair was wet and something about the way she appeared was distracting.
“Is something wrong? I heard your voice,” she said looking at me closely, but I couldn’t give her a reply. She sighed, seeing that I was actually okay. She turned to walk away, but I quickly stood with my feet shoulder-width apart, blocking her path, my arms crossed over my chest. My face twisted in a mixture of emotions—hurt, anger, and betrayal.
My eyes bore into hers, searching for answers, as if demanding an explanation for the perceived transgression. My eyebrows furrowed, and my lips pause, giving my face a stern, accusatory look.
Emma, sensing the tension, slows down, her eyes darting around the room, seeking an escap
