Chapter 25. Something Behind the Woods
Emma’s POV
As the sun began to set on a warm summer evening, Parker held my hand, and we navigated our way through the forest and the sound of the rustling leaves made my heart pound in anticipation.
Soon, I could hear the waterfall from close by, making me confused and surprised. We were going to the waterfall again?
“I can hear the waterfall from close by?” I whispered, although it was already obvious.
“Yes, that’s the sound of it,” he said shortly, and soon we arrived at the waterfall, the sky was painted with hues of orange, pink, and purple. The sound of gushing water grew louder, and the air cooled down, filled with the sweet scent of wet earth and vegetation. Parker took my hand, leading me through the dense foliage, and suddenly, the majestic waterfall came into view.
