Chapter 27. Come Here

Primrose pouted, shoving Joel's hand as he touched her hair, wanting to help her change. Joel sighed and waited a few more seconds before moving on, quickly helping Primrose change into a more comfortable silk nightgown.

"Water. I want to drink water."

Primrose spoke softly, her voice somewhat dry. Joel carefully took Primrose's head again to lay her on the soft pillow, hurrying to pour her a glass of warm water. When he was done, he went back to bed,

expertly supporting Primrose's back to help her drink water, at which point Primrose snorted in satisfaction.

Joel put the glass of water down on the small table by the bed and helped Primrose change into her silk pajamas. Primrose was still struggling to avoid it, so Joel only had to gently hold Primrose's leg and help her put on her pants. After helping Primrose change clothes, there was a thin layer of sweat on the back of Joel's shirt.
