Lisa's POV

'Did I hear her correctly?' I think to myself.

"Lisa, are you listening?" Katherine's mom snaps, "You must not look into this. It is a lot more dangerous than any one here can handle. And most importantly, you can not tell the Alpha. If you do he will be determined to find and kill this monster. It is stronger than him, Lisa. Hell, stronger than me and I've been around for nearly 2,000 years."

"2,000 years?" I gasp, "How could you survive that long?"

"Out of all the words I just said, that is the thing that you choose to focus on?" she sighs, shaking her head, "Goddess, children these days."

"I'm sorry, mam. I just don't know how to process it." I apologize, "There is just a lot going through my head right now."

"And I understand that, Lisa, but this is not something that you take lightly. This is a danger to all. This is the thing that Katherine was trying to warn us about. It is life or death." she explains, putting a
