Shlok's POV

She asked me to take more as she wanted to enjoy her mangoes as it was her favorite.

I started cutting them for her after finishing my food as she had not eaten much.

"We can pack the leftover mangoes so that we can have them tomorrow as well, we don't know if we get some chance to eat some fresh fruits or have to eat one of those tinned foods," she said.

But I told her that we would stay there for one more night, and she looked shocked to hear it… and she asked me why??

I could not tell her the main reason for my decision as I did not want her to be scared. So I gave her a vague reason and even I thought of it as a lame one… so I smiled to cover it up.

But her wild reaction shocked me… She wanted to continue at any cost but I could not take that risk especially with her being with me. We could not resume the path we were going on as they were waiting for us there. So I needed a day to find another way to go
