Vincent Baker was aware of my residence. Was that supposed to scare me?

Of course, he knew where I lived. His lawyer mentioned explicitly in his idiotic contract, but the fact that a fancy-assed black car pulled up to my shabby apartment served as a reminder to me of what he did.

There was no need to get angry. Besides, it was so irrelevant. This union was a business. It wasn’t like I intended to wed him and be with him forever.

But when I noticed the car downstairs, my tiny flat suddenly appeared unsafe. It horrified me to consider that this man might easily locate me whenever he desired.
