Chapter 20. It Was Time

Tiara POV

I remained inside alone and suddenly felt disoriented. I merely intended to make him experience the consequences of his actions, but I had actually traumatized him.

As I slid out of the wedding dress, my own fingers trembled. Remorse and wrath were fighting for control in my chest as I raced back into my clothing and exited the boutique

When I noticed he was no longer inside and the car still parked on the sidewalk with the driver waiting to allow me in, I felt a sense of relief. After what had just happened, I slipped quietly into the car, still feeling weird.

My future husband was sitting still and gazing at oncoming traffic.

As soon as I opened my mouth, I began blabbering

“I’m sorry, Vincent, I... I didn’t realize...”

He turned to face me and gave me a chilly look. He gave me a blank stare that I found to be even more unsettling than his fury.
